Thanks for the links and the props--you are too kind.  Re temporal specificities, Masten, Meehan, and Snyder introduced the term in 1991.  I did expand on the concept in the 93 JLE paper, and showed how such specificities could create coordination problems unless markets were sufficiently &quot;thick,&quot; and that long term contracts or integration could economize on transactions costs in thin markets.
