He used many examples to argue that bootleg, illegitimate projects created many, many important things. If memory serves, the Sidewinder air-to-air missile, the workhorse of the Western inventory, was a project run sub rosa by people who believed in infra-red homing, even after it was ordered killed by the bosses.]]></description>
