As of Tuesday, September 30, 2008, the Entrepreneurship Research Portal (research.kauffman.org) will no longer be available. After that date, the data and information formerly available on the Research Portal will be found in two locations. The first is the newly designed Kauffman Foundation web site at http://www.kauffman.org, and the second is the Entrepreneurship Research & Policy Network (ERPN) – part of the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) – at http://www.ssrn.com/erpn.
For those not familiar with SSRN, it is a free resource where authors and researchers can post working papers, reports, journal articles, and research results. ERPN is sponsored by the Foundation to provide an online community for entrepreneurship research from all academic disciplines and the users of that information. Visit http://www.ssrn.com/erpn to access ERPN and to set up your free account. Authors have posted more then 6,000 papers/citations on ERPN since it was launched a year and a half ago.
The event and deadline database will be discontinued. Kauffman Foundation-specific events and deadlines can be found at http://www.kauffman.org. The best general entrepreneurship research and policy event and deadline notification service we are currently aware of is through the Academy of Management (www.aomonline.org/aom.asp?ID=203). Another resource is the National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship (NDE) (publicforuminstitute.org/nde), which will soon become the Policy Dialogue on Entrepreneurship.
Please contact me at mforman@kauffman.org with any questions.
