Thanks Teppo. It is a little-known fact that Nicolai and I were inspired to start this blog in 2006 by Teppo’s creation of orgtheory.net just a few weeks before. “If Teppo can have a blog, why can’t we?” Teppo, don’t you just love unintended consequences?

This milestone brings to mind the observation of American historian and educator Frank Moore Colby’s comment from over 100 years ago: “Every improvement in communication makes the bore more terrible.” But all seriousness aside, thanks for displaying an almost insatiable desire for words, and for filling much needed gaps in our discourse.

unintended consequence … or slavish mimicry?
In any case, thank you to the impresarios who created and lead this stimulating forum for discourse.

I remember when you yourself turned three, Peter, many moons ago. Our Christmas newsletter speaks of “a born protester, quibbling endlessly over whose turn it is (Peter’s), which cookie he got, what he’ll wear (‘not that old shirt!’).” You were highly entertaining even then.
