Speaking of Roosevelt, I was watching an English history of WWII. And, aside from any misgivings some of us have about his macro-economic policies (I’m pretty good friends w/ Harry Hopkins great grandson) Roosevelt’s choices when dealing with Stalin were just awful. I think he trusted Stalin more than he trusted Churchill. Sorry, this is pretty tangential.

I had no idea how badly Roosevelt bungled things. It really is depressing. Mind boggling that we seem to be heading in the same direction today. And, boy are some people sensitive if challenged on the benefits of government spending and appeasement.
