From the PSD Blog I learn of Timbuktu Chronicles, a blog written by Emeka Okafor (him, not him) dealing with African entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. Looks like an interesting read.

The other (basketball) Emeka Okafor also has connections with both business and Africa. As you probably know, he graduated from the UConn Honors Program in three years with a 3.7 GPA in Finance. He has now become involved with a foundation that tries to improve the safety of blood supplies in Africa. What the two have in common apart from their name (I am quite sure) is that they are both Ibo. (The UConn Emeka was born in Houston of Nigerian parents.) P. T. Bauer famously singled out the Ibo as a particularly entrepreneurial and market-oriented group who, like the Jews in Europe and the expatriate Chinese in Asia, have often been persecuted by majority groups as a result.
